She Who Dares To Stand Where I Stood

Missy Higgins - Where I Stood

I'm finding it easier to remember who I was before you, and who I need to be without you. I'm finding I was right to not depend only on you. All those fights about trust, and you needing me to need you... well, I was right to lean on no one but me. I'm sorry I hurt you. I'm sorry I was right. And I'm sorry I'm not what you need anymore. But it'll be okay. Not because I want it to be, but because I need it to be. I pray that she will love you better than I could. 'She who dares to stand where I stood...'

Well, the paragraph under the video is my own compilation. It's part of my entire thought process when I first heard the song. I love the lyrics. She speaks what I cannot for fear of his family coming at me again, or her sister coming back for more... I don't understand these people Marisa. Why can't they just leave me be?
