I learned at a young age music speaks to all people. No matter race, age, religion. Music knows no barrier. I've learned to express myself through words. Put a word to a rhythm and you've created a magic everyone can experience.

Sara Bareilles
My poor husband... I've had Sara Bareilles on repeat for I don't know how long. I don't know that I have put up an SB post, so here is my tribute to this fantastic lady!
Love Song
Bottle It Up
Gravity -- This song holds a special place. There was a guy I loved. For years. I put up with a lot, and quite frankly so did he. We ended our relationship, then our friendship. Several times. And yet something... Something always put us back together. For 8 years we did this dance. We would part ways, and reunite. Until one day, I realized I loved another man. I married that man. And now I have reached the other side of someday. There are moments every now and again when I am reminded of him, and I find myself wondering if my old friend is as happy as I am. I don't ask. I don't look him up to see. I simply pray. I pray for him, his health, happiness, and that he finds a home for his heart. I will always wish him the best.
King Of Anything
Gonna Get Over You -- My goodness, it is such a wonder finally being on the other side of someday!

Somewhere Over The Rainbow
I think we are all familiar with Over The Rainbow. --Thank you Wizard of Oz-- However, ever since I was a child, I have loved this song. I credit it to the fact that I used to climb the trees in my backyard and pretend I could fly. I used to dream of flying all the time. It helps that I have had quite the imagination for as long as I can remember... when you live inside of your head most of your life, you sort of have to. There was an episode of a show I used to watch where they went inside of my favorite characters head, and she say's, "Yeah, it's sort of Mary Poppins-esk, isn't it..." It made me laugh because that is what I have always said about the inside of my head. I don't think within the box. I don't like to. It seems rather stuffy, and boring to me. I don't think in linear lines either. It is my belief there is always more than one solution to everything, and sometimes you have to be creative when handling a crisis. Throw a little splash of color, so to speak. These days, it seems, everyone thinks, feels, does everything in black and white. BLAH! Give me some color, PLEASE!!! Well, as much as I love rain, and the feel of the clouds, and the deepening of color that all the water and shadows give -- I love the splash of color a rainbow paints across the sky -- as a child I used to pretend I could jump from my tree branch to the other side of the rainbow. And much as Dorothy found out, the other side was something magical, and fun, and colored. However, all I ever got was a scratch and a bruise or two from jumping out of the trees. Not to mention, there is no place like ones bed with a good book and a warm cup of Starbucks on a cold day. [Thank you Starbucks for going corporate and putting your product in powder form so I can buy it and enjoy it at home when I can't make it to your cafe]
Billy Ray Cyrus Fix Anyone?
Why yes, thank you! I think I will!
Somebody Said A Prayer
